NEW DELHI: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio might be extending the deadline for enrolment to its Jio Prime Membership to April 30 due to a lukewarm response from its customers in India, according to a report by TeleAnalysis.
The report added that around 22-27 million users opted for the program so far.
Quoting its sources, the report said, “Jio’s Prime membership may get another months extension, maybe until April 30.”
Also, the users can now get Jio Prime Membership for free. The customers on recharging through the Jio Money wallet can get up to Rs 100 recharge, thereby waiving off the Prime Membership fee.
Users need to download the Jio Money app, register on it, and create a four-digit m-pin for safety. On the completion of the registration process, recharge Rs. 99 for the Prime membership plan, and you will be awarded a Rs. 50 cashback as part of the introductory offer.
Recently a report stated that 82% Jio users would stick to Jio even after the termination of its free voice and data offers, suggesting that the telco has managed to create a sustainable customer-base in the industry.
