Meizu E2 has been launched in China, and it features quad-LED flash and Helio P20 processor.

Meizu has added another smartphone to its budget lineup, the Meizu E2. The smartphone is a China-specific device and unlikely to launch in other markets. Most specifications of the device had leaked well before the launch. The TENAA certification barely a day before the launch revealed almost everything about the device. Pricing of the Meizu E2 starts at 1,299 RMB, Rs 12,000 approximately. The smartphone is available in three color variants – Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold and Black.

On the design front, Meizu E2 is not significantly different from other budget smartphones in the market. The design though seems to be inspired from the iPhone with a similar slim body, the connectivity bands on the back and the camera placement. The interesting part is the flash, which is located on the antenna strip on the back, and gives the device a slightly different look. On the front, right below the display is the fingerprint sensor which also doubles as the home button. Meizu claims that the fingerprint sensor on the phone is the fastest in-class and can unlock the device in less than 0.2-seconds.

The Meizu E2 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. Under the hood runs a MediaTek Helio P20 64-bit octa-core processor. The smartphone is available in two variants – 32GB storage with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage with 4GB of RAM. The Meizu E2 runs YunOS (Alibaba’s native OS) out-of-the-box.

This smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera. As mentioned above, the most interesting part is the LED flash. There are two normal LED flash and two dual-tone flash, in total four LED flash placed side by side next to the camera setup. The front camera comes with a resolution of 5-megapixels. A 3,400mAh battery powers the device.
