After the Redmi 4A launch in March, Xiaomi is set to launch another Redmi smartphone in India. While the company hasn't made any claims on which phone might arrive, it is largely expected to bring the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime to the country.
Xiaomi has tweeted that it will launch a new Redmi smartphone soon in the country. The tweet holds no information on the device name or the timeline for the phone launch; however Xiaomi has shared an image which has the night skyline in the background, and the tagline 'Power in your hands'. Furthermore, Xiaomi India's VP Manu Jain also tweeted that this would be the second biggest announcement this month. This means that the Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime would be announced before the end of this month only. The first announcement was that of the Mi Home store launch in Bengaluru - Xiaomi's first in India.
The Chinese manufacturer seems to be tight-lipped about an exact date of launch. Alongside the Redmi 4A launched in China earlier, the company also announced two other models – Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime. Out of the two models due for its Indian release, Xiaomi is more likely to launch the Redmi 4 first.
Redmi 4 is said to replace Redmi 3s from the previous generation of Redmi smartphones. Redmi 3s is currently priced at Rs 6,999 in India and Redmi 4 is likely to be launched with a similar price tag.
