Reliance JioFiber Rolling out :Most affordable home broadband service in the country


Reliance Jio is rolling out its JioFiber Preview offer in selected areas of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jamnagar and Vadodara. The service will launch for other cities as well in next phases. The latest details was posted by Jio on Twitter from @JioCare, its official customer support handle, in response to a query.

According to a previous report, commercial roll out of Jio’s Fiber to the Home (FTTH) broadband service could take place in June this year. Company will offer a minimum of 100Mbps for the home broadband consumers, and the plan is to make it one of the most affordable broadband services in India.

While there's a lot of buzz about Jio's high-speed broadband services, Jio's official customer support- Jio Care on Twitter confirmed the service to be called "JioFiber." In addition to that it is also testing "JioFiber Preview Offer" in "select areas of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara," JioCare tweeted.

JioCare also revealed that the company is in the process of expanding its beta trials of JioFiber to other cities soon. So far, the company hasn't elaborated on its FTTH plans, but the company said that it is indeed making progress.

Along with this, the picture of a Reliance Jio leaflet providing details of the JioFiber Preview Offer has been posted on the micro-blogging site. According to the image, the Jio home broadband preview offer will provide 100GB of data with speeds up to 100Mbps per month; once the 100GB limit is exhausted, the speed will drop down to 1Mbps. Users will not have to pay any rental charges for the first three months. However, customers will have to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs. 4,500 for the Wi-Fi router that Reliance Jio is providing to operate the FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) connection.



According to Jio’s invite, it will only take around a minute to download 100 photos (500MB) on Jio’s network. Time taken to download 100 songs (1GB) will be around 2 minutes, while True HD movies (5GB) will be downloaded in about 7 minutes on Jio’s network.
Reliance team is now concentrating on their JioFibre market. The home broadband service has been listed on the Jio.com website on the Quick Recharge page, but there are no details on the page as of now. To give you an idea, Reliance Jio Giga fibre broadband plan will offer you 50 Mbps speed for up to 2000GB of data at Rs 1500 per month.
The plans of Reliance Jio broadband has been divided into 3 different categories depending upon the speed, volume and special offers of the internet.

For the launch of new product, the company has launched two new plans: 1) Users get a 100% exchange deal where they’ll need to hand over their existing data card, dongle or hotspot router at any Jio Digital store or Jio Care store and will get 4G data worth Rs 2010 against the device exchanged. Post 100 GB data cap users will continue to get 1 Mbps speed.Sources said that Jio will offer complimentary access to Jio Fibre services for 90 days.
