Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched a new smartphone called the V9 Play. The smartphone comes in two variants – 3GB RAM model priced at RMB 999 (approximately Rs 10,000), and a 4GB RAM model priced at RMB 1,199 (approximately Rs 12,000). As of now, the smartphone has been announced in China market only, and it will go on sale on September 12.
The Honor V9 Play is a scaled down version of the Honor V9, which is available in India as Honor 8 Pro. The V9 Play smartphone features a metal unibody design with rounded edges, and antenna bands running across the top and bottom. The volume and power keys are placed on the right side of the smartphone while a hybrid SIM slot can be found on the left side. It has no physical home button, and the fingerprint scanner is mounted on the rear panel beneath the primary camera. The fingerprint scanner is claimed to unlock the device in 0.4 seconds.

The Honor V9 Play comes in Gold, Rose Gold, Red, Blue and Black colors.It is now available for order in China and goes on sale from September 12th.
