Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has finally unveiled Oppo F3 Plus Android smartphone in India. This smartphone comes with dual-selfie cameras at the front and comes with a price tag of Rs 30,990 with the device going on sale starting April 1 with pre-orders already started till March 31.
Let’s have a look what this device has to offer, on paper.
Display and Design
Oppo F3 Plus features a ginormous 6-inch full-HD panel sporting a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The display also gets a 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla 5 for added protection and aesthetics. The display also sports minimal bezels which makes holding this large device easy.
The device gets an all-aluminium body with antenna bands at the back, which is also slightly curved, aiding a better grip. The device is 7.35mm thin and weighs a little over 185g.
Hardware
Having a peek under the hood, the Oppo F3 is rocking Qualcomm’s slightly dated Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.95GHz processor, paired with Adreno 510GPU and 4GB of RAM. This was the same processor used on the Xiaomi Mi Max Prime. Users get 64GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded using a microSD card up to 256GB.
Camera
In the camera department, the Oppo F3 gets Sony’s 16-megapixel IMX398 at the back with an f/1.7 aperture, dual LED flash along with dual PDAF for instant focus. But this isn’t the star of the show.
Oppo F3 features a dual-camera setup at the front with a 16-megapixel sensor sporting an f/2.0 aperture, 76.4-degree wide-angle lens and a second 8-megapixel shooter with a wider 120-degree lens, for taking large groupies with ease.
The camera also comes with a few cool software features such as ‘Smart Facial Recognition’ which chooses the ideal lens automatically. You also get Beautify 4.0 to artificially enhance your selfies by clearing blemishes and brightening skin tone.
Software and Battery
Oppo F3 is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Oppo’s custom ColorOS 3.0 skin on top. The device is powered by a 4000mAh battery and supports Oppo’s proprietary VOOC Flash Charging technology, which promises to deliver 2 hours of talk time in 5 minutes of charge. The device charges using a microUSB port.
Connectivity and Sensors
Oppo F3 is a dual-SIM smartphone and comes with a triple slot tray which supports two SIM card slots and a third slot for the microSD card. This is a cool feature, as you can use two SIM cards simultaneously, without worrying to sacrifice additional storage space.
This is a 4G LTE smartphone with support for VoLTE. Sensor paraphernalia includes an ambient light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. You also get a fingerprint scanner at the front of the device
